Here is my first bear ever. Bagged him in mid-Sept. He weighed 145 lbs. hanging meat. What do y'all think he weighed live?

BrushChimp - Congrats...... 145 hanging meat + aprox 50 for hide & fat + 16% for guts brings him to about 230 lbs live. Not a bad bear.....

Here is one that I got this spring....... 380 lbs field dressed.

yea we'll be leaving here between 4 and 430 am both days and be out until usually well after dark

must have forgotten to tell ya about the early to late part upps sorry but you're in for the long haul now.

Yeah...Ill make do. I wont really care once we get on some bear though.
