Silly me -- I expected to see something at actually reflected world opinion. Out of six billion people in 195 countries, this poll captures the opinion of 6, 332 people aged 16-64 in France, the UK, Spain, Germany, and the US. That's hardly statistically significant, nor is it representative of world opinion since the population of nations addressed by the respondents combined only constitute roughly 1/12th of the world's population.
At best, the study could state that it represents opinion in France, Germany, the UK, Spain and the US. But even those numbers are low, and it skews "adults" by including teenagers and excluding people older than 64.
Deer hunters spend so much time trying to pattern deer that we forget that we also can be "patterned." After all, most of us hunt the same days and the same hours, so it isn't difficult for deer to figure us out.
