Well, it's good you already speak it CVC as I hear if he's elected their going to be sending the 'liberal' police to all households to forcibly make all US citizens learn a foreign language. Since you habla Espanol you're covered.

Good news is their going to let you take your pick from Spanish, French (you know how we hate the French) or Arabic (the horror the horror). Bad news is if aren't fluent in three weeks it's off to our version of the gulag (California) for a ten year bid of re-education.

(This is of course tongue in cheek)

In 1980 I started 2nd grade. In the middle of the school year we had a new student introduced to our class. She and her family had just moved here from Mexico. She spoke no English at all. After her introduction we never saw her in class with us, but 2nd through 3rd grade would see her at school getting what seemed like one-on-one instruction from a special teacher.

Beginning of 4th grade the girl showed up to class with all of us. Not only did she speak English, but she had almost no accent. The school had taken a proactive roll to spend two years teaching her English and American culture, in addition to her basic studies, so that when she joint the rest of us in class, she would know the language and would not stand out culturally. This is a true story.

That girl was very fortunate and hopefully she has done well in life. That was probably one of the last times ever that a school system in this country did it's job by teaching, and made an effort to preserve and help maintain American culture. You will never today ever witness that type of proactive action on a school's part to Americanize a foreign student. In fact I think that type of thing is even considered taboo nowadays. That's why we are slowly losing our American way of life and culture.

Today I sit with my two kids when they watch cartoons and almost all of the channels are trying to teach my kids Spanish Brick Wall,)

It's official -- Obama wants us to be Canada.

Socialized medicine, firearms restrictions, reduced military, and two languages. Perhaps Texas and Arizona can be America's Quebec.

While he's at it, we ought to be more inclusive and make sure our kids are taught Hmong, Mandarin, and Arabic, too. Given his foreign policy, I'd recommend focusing on Arabic.

Okay, I gather from your fears listed above if Obama wins by 2012 we'll be communists, our guns will have been taken, and defense will be reduced to one Division of the Peoples Republic of The United States of Latin America stationed on the Arizona border. Damn that is scary!

But hey, the good news is we'll know two languages. You know that glass it's either half empty or half full.

Show me one case where bilinguality has been beneficial to a country's efficiency, and I'll agree with you. My comments weren't "fear" -- but yours are off the chart inflammatory.

Lighten up dude and recognize satire when you see it. Seriously, if not fear what then? If you believe we are going to become socialized and lose our guns what emotional response does that elicit? Happiness and serenity? I would think fear and anger.

I'm not saying being bilingual would be more beneficial to anything. I will say one thing it shows is education and I guess intelligence. Since when is knowledge a bad thing? The more one knows as I see it can only be helpful. We do have a large number of kids who are overweight due to inactivity and an addiction to junk food and the Sony Playstation.

Maybe it would be a good thing if they learned more of anything to include languages or science or some other educational endeavor and some outdoor time like hunting and shooting or fishing.

I think that's the point Obama was trying to get across.

Again, cool it with the "off the charts inflammatory" crap. You are a man who hunts and braves the outdoors in grizzly country. You can stand a little discourse without getting dramatic!

If you are not fearful of what Obama can do to this country you are just lying to yourself. Name one thing he has come out and stated a solid position on. Nothing is planned, he has zero experience. He is a horrible judge of character. The list goes on and on. So yes I am fearful of him getting elected.

So that I may undestand your position more clearly what do you fear will happen if he is President due to his lack of experience?

I personally believe intelligence and good old common sense are bigger factors in decision making then so called 'experience'.

If I said you were lying to yourself I would be castigated for being 'inflammatory' but when you cast aspersions of that nature it's okay because you are 'right'.
