Backyard Buck

Here are a few shots of the buck that has been living in our backyard this year. We have watched him grow since he was just a little button buck early this year. Per the wife I cannot hunt the backyard critters but sure would like to find these sheds next spring.

That is a nice looking buck!

That is a nice looking buck!  Since that would make your hunting season so short, it might not be as much fun if your wife would let you take that one anyway.   Thumbs up

Even thou the wife loves to

Even thou the wife loves to hunt, I don't think I will ever convince her we should take him. I also agree it would not be much of a hunt to sit on the back deck and shoot him while he drinks water from our drip line. What I would like to do is find both of his sheds this coming spring and do a skull cap type mount that I am sure would look great on the wall. The hard part is finding both sides .

Nice photo's! We used to have

Nice photo's! We used to have a lot of deer come in here and the wife would go out and feed them. If they got here and nothing nout for them, they'd get in the carport and stamp there feet till she got out there. She made sure everyone knew not to kill her pet deer. They weren't asa nice as that one though.

She could call in the deer and ab whole bunch of quail to feed.

Just send your wife on a

Just send your wife on a shopping trip in the Springs or Denver during deer season and pop him. He would probably be fine eating from all the garden vegetables he has consumed this summer.

Wow!  That's amazing.  First

Wow!  That's amazing.  First photo, I thought it was some sort of taxidermy you had hidden in the bushes, then to see it was a real buck.  Holy cow!!!

My wife is not the girly girl

My wife is not the girly girl type and a shopping trip will not interest her unless it is to Cabelas and in that case I will be with her. She would also notice that buck missing for sure as she looks for it almost every day. I am sure he would be fine eating and would make a great mount but for now I will enjoy him on the hoof and in the trail camera shots. I will post a few shots of him once he sheds the velvet to get a final look at all his beauty.

Really nice looking buck.

Really nice looking buck. Really no challenge to shoot it. Maybe you could try and wrestle it to the ground? Your wife might enjoy watching that.

Wear a bulletproof vest, and a helmet.  Big smile
