Did not see one like that this trip in 47 !!! Passed on about 20 bucks saw about 40 bucks, but those other 20 Were on private and still none made me drool!!!! I may wait till they start bunching up to see what is all there. Then it will be hell getting close to them, but I am a gluten for punishment!!! If you have a pic of that 80 I would love to see it. I incorrectly said it was never scored but it was. I just believe he did it slightly wrong in the measuring. Although a certified scorer he admitted he rarely scored and used a P&Y instruction instead of B&C. NOt a big deal but I saw where he varied from the directions as he wasn't really interested. His score came in at 79 6/8 but mine are slightly over 81.
There are times when the deer are simply not moving and you're forced to make something happen. Maybe you're up against a full moon or hot weather. This is when a silent drive to force deer to move should be considered.
By silent drive, you're not yelling and making a commotion to scare the deer. When deer are panicked, they're liable to bust out of the cover on a dead run, and any shot you get will be tough to make.
