First of all thanks to all who helped with info and such.
We hunted the Bixby Ranch just east of Glenrock. Great bunch there and they took good care of us.
We started hunting on Friday and by the end of the day the rain and snow was making things kind of nasty. My two buddies tagged out by 2:00 pm but I was holding out for a bigger buck.
Our first stalk about 7:00 am ruined me. We located a group of about 25-30 antelope and there was at least three bucks with noticably thicker bases and larger cutters with good height. This is what I wanted. We walked about 1/2 mile through and irrigation ditch to get in position but unfortunately a group of other hunters sent our trophies into the next county.
About 4:00 we decided to go out one last time. The weather was predicted to turn real nasty so I was feeling a little pressure to fill my tag. We decided to go back to the pivot field where we got busted that A.M. We got to the field and there was a smaller group but one of the bucks was pretty close to what I was looking for. I do not know how he would rate in general but relative to the other bucks I saw he was thicker and had great cutters. I dropped him at 270 yds
I had a great time, saw bookoo antelope and dozen or so mulleys and whitetail.
I did not get good pics because of the weather but will post pics once I get it back from the taxedermy.
Thanks agin to all and to the website. Now on to the whitetail
