Back on Uncle Sam's Plantation

I just recently heard about Star Parker and her book "Uncle Sam's Plantation." Here is someone that has firsthand experience with living on welfare and in the projects. She's very insightful, and details how socialism actually enables more of the dependent attitude you find among people living in poverty.

Star of course believes Obama's socialistic plans will only suppress people more, instead of helping them.

Glad that someone with firsthand experience can see it for what it is. I like the reference to "Thank you, Suh!"

From the article,

Quote:
Trillions of dollars later, black poverty is the same. But black families are not, with triple the incidence of single parent homes and out of wedlock births.

It's not complicated. Americans can accept Barack Obama's invitation to move onto the plantation. Or they can choose personal responsibility and freedom.

Wow. Common sense. Hope it catches on.

Bill Cosby had actually written an article that really stirred the pot. He caught a lot of flack for it. All it was about was taking responsibility for your kids, being a responsible adult and parent, and raising your family properly to be productive members of society. I can't believe how much ridicule he got for his publication. Bill Cosby is a huge advocate of inspiring young folks (from all ethnicities) to make their own way and take responsibility for building their lives. I think people like him do a lot to point young people in the right direction, and be a good role model, and all he gets is crap for it. I think he is way underappreciated not only by his own people, but by Americans in general. Wish more celebrities were like him.
