AZ Coues Deer Success

Just returned from AZ after chasing coues deer for a few days. There were lots of hunters as expected but we still managed to see some deer. I was accompanied by a co-worker who drew a tag but had never hunted deer before. Also, another friend from AZ was there to help us glass.

Day one we glassed up some deer and put a stalk on a small buck but things did not work out. Day two, I glassed up another small buck and took him at 286 yards. My first AZ coues deer.

On day three we changed locations which turned out to be the best thing we could have done. In the morning hours my buddy glassed up a nice buck which he took at 175 yards. It was his first deer ever.

Hope I could post some pics

Getting that first one out of

Getting that first one out of the way is always the hardest thing to do.

To post pictures I have found that right now you need to post them on a photo hosting site such as photo bucket.  Then link to them in your post.  If you do it this way you will need to open the photo on your computer and then right click the photo then select properties.  Copy the URL that is displayed then come back on here and select the tree icon in the posting tool bar and paste the URL into the box that pops up, then click insert.

Congratulations to you and

Congratulations to you and your co-worker. Nice job on getting your first bull and Coues this year. it will be hard to top that next year. The photos are a pain but I finally got mine to work with help from Critter. I simple sent the photos to myself on my e-mail, did the right click for properties, copied the URl and worked fine. Photos are big but at least they are there.

I guess that I'll need to go

I guess that I'll need to go through the process to resize them sometime.

I've even found a way around some of the forum problems and a way to get the counters to almost work.

Sounds like a fun

Sounds like a fun hunt.

Someday when I actually learn how to hunt besides asking for help I'll have to go to Arizona and see if I can find one of these deer.  I have seen a couple of them mounted and they look beautiful.
