The neatest thing I saw was a crossbow that shoots slugs. I'll try and find the link. It is a crossbow that shoots arrows or lead slugs. I don't know what good they would be except for plinking. They have enough energy to stop alot of game with that slug, but I can't see it being used for practical hunting.
