Arrow weight?

Just curious what everyone shoots and what there weights are.  I always think my is too heavy, but I know whatever I hit properly will feel like getting hit by a truck.

I shoot the Easton FMJ's at 28" 100 grain Slick Tricks, blazer vanes and 4" wraps, they weigh in at 468 grains, I cut them down from 505 grains by switching vanes and shorter wraps.

My sticks are weighing right

My sticks are weighing right around 425gr. That should be plenty for the deer and elk I'll be hunting.

Arrow weight

My arrows are weighing right at 450 gr. My buddy has one of those archery programs and it has me dialed in. I wish I could remember the name of it to pass it along. I will next time I talk to him that way you guys can check it out if you have not heard of it.

yeah i've been shooting them since i have started with a bow and my buddies use them too thats  was the only problome i have ever had with them, i still don't know what caused it all i can think is the shaft was split prior to hunting or "the theaded insert wasnt stuck in the shaft good enough and on the release it ripped the arrow in half" my taxidermist gave me that cenario. but the way i look at it the forky got away and the big daddy got stuck days later. no if it had been reversed and i missed the big gye and shot the forky i would have probobly been pissed, and sent carbon exspress a box of brokenarrow's.

I'm not sure on the exact

I'm not sure on the exact weight of mine but they are somewhere around 420gr.  I used to shoot a 380gr. arrow and when I made the switch I was really happy with the results.  Less noise, easier to tune, and deeper penetration into my target.

I got a great buy on some

I got a great buy on some Carbon Express Maxima Hunters so that is what I have been using.  Those along with 125 gr Cableas Lazer Pro Mags broadheads witch puts my combination right around 400 grains.  They been nice on rabbits and a couple of deer.

The only FMJ I have broken

The only FMJ I have broken was indoors shooting 3D and I reall missed badly and hit a metal I Beam.  I have since then added a collar onto the fron of the arrow and had mad them indstructable.
