If you are in Arkansas you wanna hunt Razorbacks man. Feral hogs are nothing to hunting Boors. Some of the most exilirating hog hunting I have ever done was in Arkansas with my uncle when I was a teenager. Not sure where to tell you to hunt them now as I have lived in SC for the last 25 years though.

hi james-hunting hogs in arkansas i dont know a whole lot ,but i here around huntsville they have some hogs.
You might call arkansas game and fish. state officials have helped me out alot
when it comes to looking for new places to hunt.
I do know in missouri about 2 hrs from where u live there is a good place to hunt hogs. harry s truman lake just off hwy 65. You can give missouri's dnr a call and they can send you a map that marks the areas that have hogs. lots of puplic land there to hunt.
You can get phone numbers of there web pages in arkansas and missouri.
just do a key word search for the state + hunting.

good luck.

fire up the grill, huntin' aint no catch and release.

Where the hogs are?

Easy! Find ya nearest convenience store about 0730 hrs. and you'll see plenty of 'em walking out with a honey bun and chocolate milk! Their cars usually need a new set of shocks on the left side+ OVERLOAD SPRINGS!! Also....they might be attempting to brush their hair as they exit the area!! Talk to the Hand eye roll

I hate to break the news here but all wild hogs in the USA are feral hogs. Some still show a lot of the features of the old Europien wild boar, but litterly all are mixed to some extent! Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas wild boar are mixed with ferla domestic hogs, but there are areas where most show a lot of EURO boar, charicteristics, and many areas where almost all show multi colored markings, of domestic swine .

Javalina are not hogs, but a seperate species all together, (Collared Pecory)with a musk glan, like a skunk, in the place where a tail should be, no tail at all!

We have a group of guys from all over the world, that have a get together evey year in Texas to shoot or double rifles, and hunt hogs. This group is called DRSS (Double Rifle Shooters, Society) And durring the blast of ice in January, we held a hunt on the 4K Ranch near Brady Texas, and had a blast, 11 hunters took 14 hogs the first evening, the smallest was 155 lbs, and the largest was 289 lbs. The farthest anyone came to this shoot was two guys from RSA South Africa, and the closest was from Houston,Texas. We had folks from SC, Miss, LA, Penn, Mich, Ill, Texas, Ok, NM, Vr, FL and Tenn!

Hog hunting is something we all love doing, because we can't go to Africa, or Alaska every year, so we get a chance to hunt with our double rifles, with the hogs, and there are only two kinds of land owners in Texas! Those who have wild hogs, and those who WILL have wild hogs! Good hunting Guys Thumbs up

James, there is a place in Alpena on hiway 62 between Harrison and Green
Forest that hunts 1300 unfenced acres, they have lodging and have feeders out to attract the hogs. I haven't hunted there, but see their auction on Ebay. Looks like you can hunt there for about $100/day, including lodging---maybe less without lodging. I think they're called "wrangle up" outfitters.
