Arizona Fall Draws

Have you been thinking of putting in for a fall draw for deer, fall turkey, fall javelina, bighorn sheep, fall buffalo and pheasant in Arizona?  Well, you only have until Tuesday June 14 to get the application in to their office through US mail.  They do not do it on line.

I have thought about and

I have thought about and agonized as to whether I should start applying fo Arizona. I have no plans to hunt there until maybe three years from now and hate to pay for the license that I need to get into the draw. Are there any decent coues deer units that don't require the points that I would have to earn this way for when I do decide to get back down there?

Anyway thanks for the heads up as Arizona is always in my mind for another hunting trip. Been there twice for javelina and would really like to go back sometime.

hunter25   If your thinking

If your thinking of maybe three years from now then you are already three years too late for building points. At least go down to AZ and take their hunters ED class and get a life time point for it. Then after five consecutive years of applying you will get a loyalty point.

They do have some great January quail hunting and archery deer and or javilina. It helps justify your license ($151.25)

I've gone for javelina twice

I've gone for javelina twice a few years back and wish I had started the points game back then and taken a course while I was down there. I kind of figured I would be out of it for awhile if I was just getting started now.

I did see a lot of quail but the season had just closed when I got there for a rifle only hunt. The earlier hunts would be the time to go for sure.

It's too late for this year as I just sent the last of my money to Texas for a free range aoudad hunt next March. I'm going to have to start planning much farther ahead to hunt as much as I need to.
