Arizona draw results

Well, the long wait is over and the results for Arizona are available.
I drew an archery Elk tag in September, while my wife and son both drew rifle hunts in October. I guess it is going to be one of those busy seasons we all hope for. All I have to do now is figure out how to get all this time off from work.
Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Unit5a,

Yeah I bet you can't wait! Congrats on everybody in the family drawing out this year, nice to hear that you will all be able to participate in hunting this year.

Good luck!

Hey, it gets better.
I just talked to my best hunting partner and he got drawn for the same hunt my wife and son did! Pretty unreal.

We're pretty jazzed around here.

Congrats, Unit5a, sounds like a lucky year. Hopefully wildfires will not spoil the season. Are the areas you will be hunting anywhere near that huge Rodeo fire?

No, I'll be west of there. It sure got my attention when I first heard about it on the news though. We've been going to the same spot/location (unit 5a) for the last 16 years and would sure have been bummed if it got burned out.
There was a big fire a number of years ago that got real close however. I have to drive through a section to get were I want to go. I think it was called the "Dude" or "Dude Ranch" fire? I think it burned Zane Grey's cabin too. I dunno, I'm having a senior moment......

Yeah I know what you mean about catching your attention. Seems like every week there is a new fire busting out here in CO. Estes Park, Norwood, Redvale, Durango, Boulder, goes on and on...

Bad thing is that there are still months to go before the temperatures will cool down and we can expect to get some real moisture.

Hope the fires stay out of your neck of the woods, sounds like you are squaring up for a great hunting season....
