That is a sweet tag indeed,

That is a sweet tag indeed, good luck on the hunt. I myself am still a few years away from my Kaibab deer hunt due to the way that Arizona does the draws. I keep telling myself "just a few more points"

Were busy now

We are so busy at work now, with 100deg days & 65+ hours a week with no end in site. Const. is going strong in the central valley. I had to ask for some time off (which I had banked) from oct 10th thru nov 7th. I now have a 1st season Co elk tag and this sweet new AZ deer tag. Not to mension salmon just started running up the Sacromento river for august and rifle deer here in CA D7 high country in sept.
No time for hog hunting now.

You might want the check with

You might want the check with the BLM office for the Kaibab area. There have been reports of hogs down there in the Arizona Strip and I have heard of a couple of hunters ruining into them down there. That would be a sweet addition to a scouting trip.

Critter

I drew the tag with 7 points.

If you draw that tag in the future, i'll have that place on lock down for you. I'll never forget the guys who have offered to help me in the past.  I've been talking to many hunters from different states that were there the last couple of years and gave me some great info and they all got great bucks from 180" to 226". I still have 20 more people to talk to on my list.

I drew that tag also.  Seems

I drew that tag also.  Seems like I get it once every 5 years.  The early hunt is a little crowded, but all in all one of my favorite hunts anywhere.

You trophy or meat hunting?

I'll be there most of the

I'll be there most of the season.  I can never completely escape work for a week, so I expect to spend a big chunk of Wednesday in Kanab on the phone and email.

I'm not really a hard core trophy guy or a meat hunter.  Any typical 4-point would make me real happy.  Going home empty handed doesn't bother me, but I'm not above taking a meat buck the last day if the opportunity presents itself.

How did it go?  I had life

How did it go?  I had life getting in the way of a long hunt.  I ended up taking a smaller buck early and heading home.  We did see one bruiser opening morning, but couldn't get close.
