April 15 2006 bear hunt

Hi Guys !
I am going saturday April 15 to my first black bear hunt of the season,, it might be little early but a friend of mine came to visit and spend the weekend over ,so He asked if we can go bear hunting !! hehe HE DIDN'T HAVE TO convience me to go ....
I am taking few trail cams with me, few guns and of course baits to leave next to my cams after we leave cz I didn't establish a baiting site for me yet, ( my real hunting trip would be at the end of may )
This hunt is going to be the spot and stalk hunt soon i come back i will post some pics for Your guys to see . Tune in I will be back with lots of pics Laugh

I just loved it a couple of years ago when two cubs got into my fish smoker(an old metal fridge) with some help from Momma.
Smashed it all to hell, but I didn't care.
I Just like the big clumberson buggers, remind me alot of myself, but they certainly have to be controlled.

Season starting on monday the 17 here in New Brunswick, I only plan on starting to bait on the 1st of may and hunt 2 weeks later.

Hi Guys!
I came back last night with tons of pictures to show You. I just need few hours to sort them out and load them here . but I have few pics that puzzled me and need ur help to identify who was behind it.
These trees were next to each others some look like Elk and some bears.. what do You think guys ?

This picture show the rocky mountains and below the rockies is Elk / bear land, we got there around 8 and soon we got there we parked the truck ,marked the location on GPS and start the long enjoyable walk in bear country.

After an hour or so of walking We reached this cutline and walked it all the way until we reached a river, while walking this cutline we saw around 20-40 Elk scat,they were all over this cutline,, every 10 feet or so we saw a huge drop of Elk scat, it's just unreal how many Elk scat We saw there I will post few pictures for You to see.The river is located behind the thick wood to the left. comes Elk season I will pay a visit to this cutline and harvest an Elk for sure
