Hey guys how is it going? Here is a scenario for you, lets say on opening day you are walking to your stand, you get within 15 feet of your tree, which is 25 yards from your bait and you have a 400 pound bruin standing on your bait, looking at you, nose is up, ears are back and he is in an aggressive stance, what would you do? I ran into a situation close to this while I was baiting last weekend, but lucky for me he bolted out of there after about 5 minutes with a stand off. I never realized how loud the sound of a bear popping their jaw really was. It was exciting!

If I had a clear shot I'd take it. Why not?

I'd take him if the shot was there.

Id shoot, then hope like hell you dont just wound him and get him mad at you, then call my buddies and tell them. That sounds pritty exciting, but what if you were just baiting, and not hunting, and there was no stand, than what?

If you walk in during season and have a clean shot, take him. Out of season, try to get him to go. That's why you should always carry some sort of gun with you while baiting.
Isn't it wild when they pop their jaws and all of their hair stands up and the huff at you? It's a great experience after it's over and you are done soiling your drawers!

YES!

After my experience on Saturday, I have learned to take an extra pair of shorts! (LOL) and yes I have recently puchased a Ruger GP-100 in 357 MAG, and also came the Cor-Bon's.
