yhe why fool around when we can pay you how much?If you have the best genetics in the world why do you have to come here and use the old "only have 1 spot left" line to get people to book hunts?NEVER heard that 1 before...I just read the regs for this year and I cant find anything that says you would loose you bonus points for designating the unlimited area so.....I would contact the home office here in Helena 406 495 3260 and ask to talk to one of the liscensing agents who work with the sheep permits and ask them the specific question about the points.Since it is a gauranteed hunt the points would not give anyone an advantage so my opinion is you would keep them, you cant get points from NOT draawing this tag so how could you loose them?hope I have been some help.

Can you answer my question, how much does it cost to book a hunt and what kind of deposit do you require?Im sure there will be a line of people wanting to hunt with a guy with an attitude like yours, might want to add an extra phone line to handle all the calls. You charge $5500 plus tags cost for a mule deer/wt deer hunt, you can go on an African safari for plains game for less, the "average joes I know couldnt afford to pay nearly $6000 plus travel to shoot a couple deer, I am realy curious to find out what the sheep hunt will cost, how much is a bighorn tag there?

So what you were saying in your first post is that we shouldnt screw around with a sheep hunt in an unlimited area here in Montana that will run a non-resident about $1000 with travel costs, instead we should travel to alberta and book a hunt that will run somewhere near $20,000?I dont know what income level you consider an average joe but none of the average joes I know can afford a hunt like that, the ones I know wait for as long as 5 years to book a hunt to Alaska to kill a griz and a moose or a dall sheep and those hunts cost about 1/4 of the sheep hunt you say you are saving for the average joes. The unlimited areas here in MT have good rams and the are many B&C entrys from those areas, you DO NOT need to hire a guide and the "average joe" CAN afford to drive out here and go on a sheep hunt where they may or may not shoot the ram of a lifetime.I know your area has great genetics and world class rams but those aspects of a sheep hunt make them very unaffordable for the majority of the hunting joes. What we are talking about in this thread is average joes trying to figure out how we can do a hunt here in MT and keep the costs down and not loose the bonus points he has accumulated,if you want to advertise a guide service in Alberta please do it in a new thread of your own.

This thread started back in 2003 by Donmillion for sheep hunting in COLORADO, not Montana or Alberta.
Its against the forum rules to do ANY advertising, not in this thread or a new thread.

Are the unlimited areas open to the public or are they mostly private land?

The unlimited areas here in MT are almost all public lands.
