"Teacher, Leave those kids

"Teacher, Leave those kids alone!" Love that Pink Floyd!

Anyhow - yes, I have seen the spam and reported it too. I think there have been some major changes with those involved behind the scenes with the web site. Still a great site though. I expect it will pick up with pics and stories as the hunting season kicks off.

I have not had the tool bar issue or any posting problems - maybe it has to do with the internet provider? That was my issue last year with posting issues.

A couple different changes

A couple different changes have taken place.  There is the Outdoor Hub toolbar that is usually floating over the site now.  Also, the way that they feed the content to the website on the homepage has changed.  Of the high speed internet connections, my connection is on the slower end now, and the new layout takes longer to load.

The new changes don't do much for me personally.  I wish they would add an advanced search feature for the user submitted stories and pictures.  If I want to read about Colorado Archery Mule Deer user submitted stories, it would be nice to have a more efficient tool to find those stories.

I'm starting to wonder if the site has been sold and the new owners just don't care.  Confused

Good Question!

A very good question.  Moderators - what say you?  The site has definitely changed from what was normal.  Confused

It would be interesting to

It would be interesting to see if the site has been sold or not.  I sent the site moderator a PM a couple of months ago and never heard back from him.

I know that on a few other sites that I am on that once they were sold that for the first little while the new owners seam to care, but then they go downhill from that point.  They try to stay with the same moderators weather they are on the site enough to take care of problems or not, it seams that once sold it is all about the dollars that they can bring in and not the site anymore.  They just don't care like the ones that made the site did.

I did get a PM the other day

I did get a PM the other day in response to my constant Spam reports.  He was thanking me for reporting them, and letting me know he's been busy. From someone named Jeff, who I don't kn ow if I have talked to before.  Always seemed to be Nadja would answer whenever I sent something in before.

I am guessing it changed hands or something.  Interesting that none of the original Mods would have let us know, eve on the down low.  The contests they had drummed up lots of business, and hits to the site.  Could have sold it at it's peak, using the year long # of daily visits to the site as an "average"....... Huh?

The site has been sold

The site was sold a few months ago to outdoor hub. You never hear from their moderator. I try to delete spam when I see it, but flags don't come to me, and I'm busy.   I don't know what the new owner's plan for the site is.
