anyone else not digging the new forum layout?

I'm findind it hard to navigate through the new forum. as well as viewing and posting reply's. I accidently double posted because i coudln't figure out the new "save" and "preview" buttons... I was just getting used to the old layout of the site and now this lol. The pictures on all of the posts are kind of hard to view and alot more complicated.

is it me or anyone else feel this way?

aa

It takes a little getting

It takes a little getting used to but after a while it will start to flow for you.  I kind of like the new picture feature since it alows the threads to load more quickly but there are some issues that they are working on that may help speed things up some more.

I do have to admit of all the forums that I am on this is the only one that uses the kind of format that they do.

Once I log out and return to

Once I log out and return to the site its almost impossible for me to find the login button. also older posts with pictures are messed up because of the new border perimeters. You can only see half of some of the pictures.

I'm trying to get used to it but man is it tuff.

We appreciate the comments.

We appreciate the comments. Keep them coming! Thumbs up

Our goal in upgrading was to make the whole site interactive. You can directly contribute to the stories, tips, create photo galleries and of course this forum. Blogging will be added soon as well. You can now comment and vote on anything on the site. We felt this format gave users more options to participate and interact. The whole concept is different from what any other hunting site has done (that we know of). It was our goal to be different, and hoped our users would have fun with it as well. One of the reasons we came up with the Grand Slam Challenge Contest!

About the photos that are too big for the current format. The original poster can go and edit their own post with the photos if they wish. Click on the photo, then on the photo icon about the input box, then a small window will pop-up. We recommend entering a max width of 500-600 and the height will adjust proportionately. As for the navigation of the forum, the organization went back to what it was before we upgraded the forum in Dec 2009. Several users had commented that they did not like the new condensed forum with sub-forums, and had requested that we "unwind" the forum. So we did.

We know change is hard, it's been hard for us too. But to move forward and offer new features, required a major overhaul of the entire site and back end system. We hope everyone will enjoy the changes as much as they did the old site.

If you have the picture on

If you have the picture on your computer all you have to do is scroll the page that you are repling to or the new post that you are making down to where it says Attach Files and click browse.  Then just find the picture on your computer and open it.
