Any Traditional Archers Still On This Site?

Hi Everyone,
I'm farely new to the site and noticed there hasn't been a post here in a while. I shoot a Ben Pearson "Rogue" recurve, 50lbs at 28". I'm really interested in building my own and would like to get more info on it. Anyone here with me?

Welcome to the site.
I guess it's just you and I.

Of all the bow I've had over the years. I've kept one all wood custom take down recurve. Two custom hybrid wood limb/ metal riser recurves and a Martin Savannah longbow. All of which I use for hunting.

What are you interested in building?

I'm not sure what I want to build yet. I'll probably start with a kids bow and work my way up to something I can hunt with. The only bows I've ever shot are compounds and laminate recurves, but I'm open to other designs. I've got to hit the books and see whats out there. Any suggestions?

Go to http://www.stickbow.com
They have about all the info you'll need or put you in the right direction. Wood choices, style, etc. They also have a classified section of used for sale, trade or to buy.

That signature is printed on all of my bows.

Yeah, I found that link here and have been looking at it. Good info. I've ordered a couple of books on building bows and they should get to me by Monday. I'll see what I can do. Thanks for the help.

I have been shooting my Bear Grizzly recurve for 4 or 5 years now, and love it. I shoot Easton arrows with feather fletchings. I want to get into long bows, but I am torn between a quite a few different makes. I love the challenge and the overall feel of traditional archery. I hunt traditional more than with my compound. I am open for suggestions on long bows to get from those who shoot them.
