I heard a couple of them the second week of August in Southern Utah first thing in the morning. It was a weak one but it was a bugle. The larger bulls were still up high on the hillside a half mile away from the heard.

They are starting to heat up
They are starting to heat up in RMNP. The park rut is normally a week and a little ahead of surrounding areas in Colorado.
