Anticosti Whitetails

Am considering a trip to Anticosti Island in Quebec this fall for whitetails. Anybody have some experiance from a hunt there? Because of my job i am considering a late october hunt there and this will be a pre-rut time i believe. Any thoughts or tips are greatly appreciated.

Anticosti Whitetails

Asked that question a few months ago myself but no replys. Anyways, my father is going to Anticosti this November. According to the people he talked to over there they say the woods are very thick and you should be ready for any kind of weather. Lots of deer over there, 25 per square km last year I think. Good luck if you decide to go, sorry i couldn't help out too much. Big bonus is that you can shoot 2 deer which is awsome!

Have always wanted to go there but never have! So can't help with any info. You might want to post a copy of this message in the "Eastern Canada" thread also.

you will probably be hitting it just about peak rut depending how late in oct.
