Got out for a few days two weeks ago, but couldn't post these until now. Not sure what was up with the picture posting option, but here we go anyway. Was trying to find places I could archery hunt without having to commit to a backcountry pack trip this year. Wasn't real quick on the trigger for shots of game this time around though.
Elk were mostly still up higher than I was looking though-this is in the high 12s:
Storm came in pretty quickly, starting around noon, so it was a 4 hour, very soggy hike back to camp.
Just behind these bucks is public land.
