Ammo To Go????

Anyone ever buy from them?  Got good ratings on Yelp, site looks pretty legit, etc.  Been looking for a place to get some rare rounds, and they claim to have them in stock.  Thinking about ordering, but don't want to get taken for $70 a box after shipping..... Wink

I have seen them and have

I have seen them and have been tempted to pick up a few boxes from them but I never have.

Anymore when I see the price of loaded rounds I just head into my reloading room and punch out another couple hundred rounds. But if you are looking for a off the wall caliber they may be the go-to company.

I just wished that I had picked up a couple thousand .348 Winchester rounds 20 years ago when I bought my rifle instead of buying a couple hundred brass like I did.

I've ordered from them a

I've ordered from them a couple of times in the past with no problems at all. Shipping is very slow right now but for the most part the prices are still good and they often have things you can't get other places. Like Federal HST for a really good price.

Thanks guys.  Yeah Critter,

Thanks guys.  Yeah Critter, know what you mean.  That's what I am looking for, the .348 ammo.  It's only $58 a box, which is about $10-15 lower than most places, but the shipping brings it up closer to $70.

Still though, at least they have it, or so their website says they do.  Most places say that they are out of stock.  If I order more than one box, it lessens the price per box.

buying

Hey Sean, I'm sure I've bought from them before and saw no problems. I checked a couple of my more frequent vendors for .348 and seems both are out at this time, but normally they both have awsome prices. It could be worth your while to contact either one and ask for an email when they get more loaded up. Simply google Wisconsin cartridge and/or HSM ammo. One more thing, I have found shipping on ammo from many places costs the same for one up to six boxes, so even tho it costs a tad more now, you'll save more in the long run on shipping charges.

One problem with the .348 is

One problem with the .348 is that Winchester only makes one run of it a year from what I understand and when that supply is gone it is gone. Buffalo Bore also produces it but they are even more expensive than the Winchester.

I remember when I first bought my 348 that you could buy a box of loaded ammo for $20.00 and brass was only something like $8.00 for a box of 20

If I had a 348, I'd get into

If I had a 348, I'd get into relaoding even if only fot it. $58 a box is outragious! Or maybe you have a friend reloading. You might be able to get the dies and he'll load for you. For around $100 you can Get a Lee kit. Not sure if Lee makes the dies but wouldn't hurt to check.

Ammo To Go has never been an

Ammo To Go has never been an issue, as far as my orders are concerned.

They have always sold me what I paid for and shipped promptly. As for the caliber, start reloading! You will save money and likely develop a load that's better than any factory round. Plus, you get to play with guns and bullets. What's more fun than that?
