I am currenlty shooting aluminum Easton 2213s. I have been debating switching over to carbons. Any advice or experience either way?

I switched over to carbon's 5 years ago and I've never looked back, they're very tough they're accuret and they penetrate very well
and also you'll get some more speed out of you're Bow, I shoot the gold tips 7595 they work good for me I've killed alot of deer with my set up and almost all my shots have been pass through shots. you also may whant to
look at the nitro stingers by carbon dynamic
they're also very good carbon arrows. just make shure you match them well with you're set up [don't go too light] and you'll be good to go. Good Luck hunting.

I agree, i will go with carbon..

it is more stable and more effective, alluminum bends and breaks and carbon doesn't bend and break, though it will break but it will have to sustain a great amount of pressure or a great hard deal of impact..

when i shot at a doe last year, she was at 35 yards and i thought she was at 30, i released and missed, went right under her and into the tree, didn't damage the arrow one bit but did a number on my Steel Force..

good luck and god bless Big smile

Don't if you are still watching this string...but I like the aluminum.

I started with Alum and switched to carbon after I became more experienced, but I have gone back to alum since.

When I switched to carbon, my groups tightened up and of course there was more velocity. However, one day, I shot one set just fine, pulled the arrows, and shot them again and had one basically implode. There were no signs of damage to the arrow, it didn't hit anything but the target, so I don't know what weakened it, but it was scary.

I switched back to alum since, and the velocity isn't as high, but my groups are actually the same now as when I shot the carbons. The loss of velocity is all that much either. I've had several kills between 15 and 65 yards and all have been pass through kills with the aluminum.

You will almost always have a pass through with aluminum but I still shoot carbons for the speed, making longer shots possible. I have never had a carbon pass completely through but I shoot lighter carbons and they still put 2 holes in a deer.

I shoot the Carbon Weave carbons that are about 8 gr per inch, with a 100gr rocket head they fly flatter than any other combo I have tried.Even among carbons you have a big weight difference between brands.I have a pile of the first carbons I bought that are so much hevier they hit 1 1/2 feet lower than my carbon weaves at 40 yards. As far as penetration goes I shot a goat the other day at 62 yards and the arrow went through the bottom of the shoulder blade and into the heart, thats REAL good for 62 yards! Thumbs up
