My dad, my son and I killed a few gators in Florida a year and a half ago and although it was fun and exciting it was nothing like the hunts I am used to and was a little disappointed. I admit we didn't do a normal night hunt but spotted along canals on private land till we would find one and then put a bullet in it. They are just not the elusive animal that I'm used to as once you would spot the eyes above water you pretty much had em.
I'll scan some pictures and get them up soon as mine was over 10 foot long and pretty nice. The skulls make a very cool european mount also.
I just got back from my elk trip to Colorado and must say that I learned quite a bit about hiking in that one trip. I researched all I could on the internet and thought I was prepared going out. For the most part I was but I want to pass on a few major things I learned that helped me drastically!
