Re: Airline Attack

I agree. But where does that leave alcohol use or things like legal gambling. Truth be told, I've known more people and families destroyed and ruined because of those two legal things than I ever have known from drug use. Not to say that I haven't known some people's downfall from abuse of drugs, because I've seen it too, but not to the degree that I've seen other legal vises. That's just my experience from those around me. No doubt that hardcore drug use and abuse wins the number for most damage to people. I just don't know nor associate with many of those types, and noboby in my immediate family ever used that stuff when I was growning up. As far as pot users and the liberal mindset goes....well the same argument can be used for tobacco and alcohol. What about extream healthy nutritional diets and organic living? That's a lifestyle that seems to have been ebrassed largely by the liberal minded leftwing crowd and I wouldn't say that healthy organic living will lead to the downfall of anyone.

I'm sure not an advocate of drugs. No way!! All I'm saying is that there was a time in this country (not so long ago) when many things that are illegal today were once unreglated and used by Americans, mostly without knowing it, without much damage to society. Just understand that the Coca Cola that your's and my grandfather enjoyed didn't just contain caffene as it's only stimulant.

Truth be told, if it came down to it and I had to make a choice, I would chose to expand some freedoms in areas I don't like in order to keep others from restricting my freedoms in areas they don't like. There are too many people in the country today willing to throw someone else's liberty under the bus because that particular liberty doesn't affect them personally.
