advice on a colorado unit

iam planning a trip to colorado this fall with my girlfriend and i was wondering where a good unit will be to take her deer hunting. i've looked at 11, 211. but hear that it is over run with hunters. thinking around bookcliffs or grand junction instead. if anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great. if anyone is interested in hunting idaho i can give alot of info.

Do you have any preference points for Colorado?

i don't, i looked on the colorado dow website and it is a 90% draw to get that tag. so i'm thinking that i won't need one. i have a question on preference points, if you put in for a pp can you still draw a deer tag that same year? and still collect a pp?

Yes you can earn a PP and draw a tag in the same year, as long as you apply for a PP or do not draw your first choice and thus earn a PP. Then you can either apply for a undersubcribed unit as a second choice or purchase a leftover tag.

What unit by the bookcliffs are you considering? Were you going to hunt deer and elk?

unit 21 or 30. but i think i'm leaning more towards 11, or 211 by meeker or craig. that bookscliff hunt is a little harder to draw. this trip is more or less for my girlfriend, just want to show her lots of deer. i figure if i can harvest a deer up here in the thick brush general unit in idaho i can find one in the wide open of colorado. the question is can i get her close enough once we find one.
well hiker thanx for the reply what is your opinion on unit 11,211 or do you have some other suggestion? if you need some info on idaho i'd be more than happy to exchange.
