well another empty tag on a31 had a chance a few weeks back on a small fork and a doe but i had seen a nice buck off in the distance and i got picky. was hoping to get out today but the rain screw that up there is two more days but cant make it happen.

I am unable to get out the last 2 days, so I will be eating tag soup too, just another flavor (A-22).
I did get out the other day and have a chance at a couple that came in just after sunset, but they went the wrong way, and I couldn't rule out if they were spikes or not.
There's always next year. And, only a couple months till turkey season!!!

I'm one day away from a-22 tag soup too...vermonster, how's it going? I'm hoping to fill that tag tomorrow, but it's not looking too good!

Hey Andrew, good to see you here. Good luck with the last hunt. At least you are not totally eating tag soup for the year though. I have been surviving on it for awhile.

Mmmmm, Good!
I am also eating tag soup this year. I am supplementing it with some deer track stew, so that makes it a little better. 
Actually, I am fortunate to have a hunting buddy who hunts in 3 states and always has extra venison to give away. This year he gave me a whole doe and one hind quarter from a buck from another state.
I could be out there with stick and string for the late archery season - I think two or three more days, but I haven't done the cold weather archery thing for quite a few years.
My buddy? He's still trying for one more.

It happens
It happens to the best of us guys I once went three years straight without filling a single tag while hunting in THREE states!
That's why I now tag the very first legal deer I see - every time!
