8mm Curse?

FWIW I prefer big bores , over 400 , I aint one to bash any caliber , if ya like it and it works , happy huntin' ..

My personal take on the 325 is this , as was said it's a small market here , when you get over 30 cal ..

My thought is that most who want a rifle in the mid range between 30-35 , already had them .. If I have a 338 WM , 35 Whelen etc, why would I get rid of it for a 325 ?

FWIW I think the WSM is doomed in the long run ..

The 7 Rem Mag was good marketing and perfect timing ..,

For whatever reason the 8 Rem Mag never caught on , and I had one and loved it , but even with it , the 338 was already well established and I think that fact killed the 8 Rem Mag ..

Funny how some come and some go , the are some great rounds out there that died a slow or fast death .. The 264 Win Mag was a perfect example , IMO the ideal cartridge for probaly all of NA minus the really big stuff ..

8mm Curse?

I think you got the picture. But a big down fall of the 8mm Mag I believe was a lack of suitable bullet's. The 8mm's just weren't ready for it.

8mm Curse?

Good point , yep back in the 70's there were very few 8mm bullets ..

Colonel Askins was a big fan of the 8 and probaly had as much to do with it as Jack did with the 270 ..
