Maybe you are the one who is dense soco, or maybe just a lack of reading comprhension. No one has said they would vote on the gun issue alone. And, if you look at the topic it says 76% of sportsmen prefer a candidate who is also a sportsman. Preference isnt the same as a guarented vote.

Am I wrong? Looks to me like Obama's platform basically boils down to "Vote for me because you hate Bush."

They're acting like the American public is too stupid to remember all the abuse McCain has taken for bucking the trend in the Republican party.

I'll say it again, if the Dems were smart they'd come up with platform of substance and solutions, and debate the merits of policy. But they can't -- their whole view of politics is 3D: Destroy, Distract, and Distort.

This is what I wanted to point out to SoCo.... This is, afterall, a thread about preferring a sportsman candidate. Why then, would you expect CS to talk about something else, and blast him for voting on "only one issue". I don't see that anywhere here.

it would be like me jumping into a vegetarian thread and posting a venison stew recipe..... eye roll

Well no problem I guess in that the lawyer in question was one of those good ol boys fat cat lawyers from Texas. But then he did seem like a likeable fellow, fairly old too, maybe 75yrs old. I saw an interview afterwards. The hunt was one of those get togethers for big lobyists and lawyers that Bush/Cheney seem to have a lot of. Does nothing for the image of sportsmen either, the golden rule is never point a firearm at a person.
