onzaman, sorry for the lengthy delay in replying, it was kinda both I would say, we've been bear hunting there for years, my brother is an outfitter about 45 minutes away and he gets the two baits running for us before we come up. the baits are not on his bear management because that would just be a really bad way to conduct business, therefore we are like I said earlier, 45 minutes away from his BMA.
We got the skull officially scored and it came in at 21-9/16" ranks 3rd all time in Ontario for archery, I would imagine #1 for a women in Ontario in archery but that is only a guess. The Ontario record for bow is 21-12/16"
chow, for now, hope the fall season finds everyone tagging out and have a great Christmas everyone.
I learned this the hard way last year. If you're hunting in an area with lots of bear activity, it's a great idea to stash your food and water up in a tree. I like to wrap everything in a tarp and tie it between two trees. Don't just tie it up in one tree but tie it in between two trees at least 15 feet in the air. I thought I had my backpacking camp's food supply stashed pretty well last year. I returned to camp during the first weekend of archery to find all my food destroyed. Make sure...
