Hi Forum.

My sister and I would like to thank the guys on here for the information you gave us in regards

to shooting over there in the states.

Our parents have just placed the I-130 forms in so it will be 6 months at the most before we move

from australia to california.

Once again thank you hoggetter and others for helping. twoGirls from aus

good luck on your move, 6

good luck on your move, 6 months will fly by. I hope you you and your family have a safe trip. keep us updated on your hunting as well, i'm sure you will have no problem figuring out the regs in california. depending on where your moving to in CA, southern oregon has some great hunting oppertunities as well.

Yeah, like he said, it will

Yeah, like he said, it will fly by.  Depending on what area of CA you move to, feel free to send me a message, and I can point you in the right direction.  If you get here in roughly April, you will have a couple of months left to puit in for the big game drawings.  As long as you meet the 6 months residence requirement before the season starts, I think you are okay.

Good luck!

Two Australian girls... hmmmmm

My advice is to move to Colorado. We have better hunting. Come up to CSU for school and I will show you guys the ropes. haha Just kidding.

Hope you guys have safe travels and love it out in California.

They need to forget CSU and head right up here to the mountains to get used to the altitude so that they can go out and bad that elk next year.

I remember those girls.

I remember those girls.  Pretty neat that they want to know about hunting.  Most kids moving to the states from another country might be worried about a lot of other things so it is nice to see someone interested in hunting.  I bet they will be imprressed at the opportunites and freedoms we have here.

I agree that they are going

I agree that they are going to be excited about how easy it is to pursue a life in the outdoors in this country compared to other countries. I can not imagine moving here from another place. That would be a pretty awesome feeling to say the least.
