Perhaps you have received an email regarding a massive bull out of MT? Looks like the picture attached.

Apparently its a high fence bull as debunked by David King over at his blog:

The two guys look (IMO) like they just stepped out of a clean pickup, or a nice lodge, not into the SW-B wilderness.

This was in our local paper as the shooter tried to report it had been shot here in Idaho near the MT border. IDAHO fish and game investigated and a Elk rancher from Riggins called in a tip to IDFG about pictures of the bull he had from this summer when it was in velvet as he was going to buy it from a ranch in canada. The fun part was that the guy had said he shot it in area that had been shut down due to wild fires over by Dixie. You would think if you shot some thing that big that someone would investigate where it came from and if so atleat due your homework dont claim it was from a closed area.

... kind of sad that one would from the beginning feel like having to come up with some big story about shooting the high fence bull. Gosh - if you're going to shoot a high fence bull - just do it - and don't come up with some big story. Those guys certainly got world fame - maybe not the kind they wanted.

In a way - if all this is true as it has played out - it is kind of telling with regard to high fence hunting.

Question: has anyone ever shot a wild bull and tried to pass it off as high-fence?
