3rd Season Elk

I'm taking a friend up to 37 3rd season bull. This was short notice for me. It didn't look like he was going to get his hunting license in time but now it looks like he will and wants me to take him out. I've done some archery hunting in 37 and 371 in thick timbered areas. I'm looking for advise on areas in 37 3rd season that would be good places to start and check out. If we get snow where do the elk generally end up in 37. My friend is in his late 40's and not in the best physical shape. We do have ATVs but I don't see him walking more then 2 or 3 miles a day. PM me with any advice you have if you don't want to share it on the fourm. Thanks.

We are going to GMU 22 for

We are going to GMU 22 for 3rd season. We were hoping for more snow before we got there to push the elk down lower. We have cow, bull and bear tags so we hope to come back with something to put in the freezer. Best advice I can give is to get out there early where you think the elk are and get them. I have seem too many people want to hunt when the sun is warm at the crack of noon and not when it is cold when the sun is coming up.
