375 Ruger

I went down to the local gun shop today and looked at the african model and fell in love with it. Im holding out till the owner gets back with the alaskan but I was wondering if the guys out there had one and what the general consensous was. Im thinking about the 375 H&H or the ruger but the ruger definately felt natural and the sights built in are a really nice feature.

I am not the type to have 2 rifles of the same bore diameter and already have the .375 H&H. The .375 Ruger would be the exception to that. I would dearly love to have one. Generally the Ruger and H&H are on the same performance level. I think you will really grow to like it.

I had been sticking to the plan of the 375 H&H but after holding the ruger it settled in better but my big thing is the preformance of the round and everything I have heard said is very good but thats what Ive read, but I dont know what was paid puff and what was real.

I saw a show on tv where the guy was shooting a ruger 375. He was bison hunting on the prairie with the alaskan model. He dropped the buffalo in its tracks. I like the fact it has shorter action than the H&H. But I don't like the limited choices in ammo so far. I do like that it comes in left hand models.

Im pretty sure a guy would have to reload or know someone who does Ive run into the same issue with my 325 so at this point the investment in that would really start to pay off.

I have to reload my .375 in self defense. The ammo arond here runs $55-60 per 2 rounds. I do it a whole lot cheaper than that. It costs me less than a buck per round to do it myself.

to buy all the stuff to reload for my 325 im into it for less than $100 for everything to do 200 rounds which is ALOT cheaper than buying it at $57 a box.
