Just some broad generalizations... 2nd season success is slightly higher, and there are 50-25% fewer hunters in 3rd season. There is just a slightly better chance of snow during 3rd season, which helps a lot. And the second weekend of second season can be very pleasant with even fewer hunters out than during 3rd season.
