2011 Wyoming 6x7

Helped my friend take this beautiful 6x7 during the rifle season.  He didn't match the 6x6 monster in my avatar that we took last year, but he was a good one.

Nice job.I might suggest

Nice job.

I might suggest wrapping some blaze orange over those antlers. It looks too close to an elk for some lame hunters.

Thanks guys!  The picture was

Thanks guys!  The picture was taken in an area where I can guarantee you that no other hunters were within a couple miles of us.  The orange suggestion is a good one though and I have orange flagging tape for that purpose, as well as marking a blood trail if ever needed.  I believe we are something like 8 for 9 on bull tags since about 2004 and the only tag that wasn't filled was when a friend held out for a monster and passed on a number of decent bulls.   This year I was deer hunting most of the time by myself the last half of October and I seemed to always be in the right place at the right time and saw at least a dozen branch antlered bulls under 300 yards, with about half of them under 150 yards.  However, I don't put in for bull tags and just help my friends with their hunts, so I just took pictures.  I attached one of several bulls that were about 200 yards above me one evening right before last light.  As big as they are, 200 yards is a chip shot, LOL!  Sorry the picture is a little blurry with the fading light, but there was enough light if someone with a tag had been with me!!!
