Looks like you are ready to go for sure!  I have shot a few teal out here in CA, but the Woodys are hard to come by.  You see one or 2 resident ones shot every year, but they don't migrate in any big numbers in this flyway.  We used to see lots of them back in Vermont.

That's okay though, cause I love teal.  Best eating duck, maybe along with Pintail, in my opinion.

Went out today by myself and threw all my decoys out like a dummy. It worked great and I ended up shooting my limit of wood ducks. 2 Drakes in one Hen. One of which is going to the taxidermist. These are the first woodies for me so It was a pretty good day. It sure was hell pulling the 5 dozen decoys solo.

Ended up shooting 2 this morning and went out and got the 3rd within 5 minutes of setting my decoys out this afternoon. Seen lots of birds flying and could have got a boat load if I had some buddys with me.

I'm going to be throwing 12 blue wings 12 greenwings 6 blacks 12 blue bills and a few wooduck decoys out with my mojo teal. I'm leaving the 2 dozen mallards at home lol. too much to tote alone.

After going out the past few afternoons with no luck, I decided to go out this morning. Still not alot of birds flying but I was able to get another drake wood duck. That makes 3 drakes and a hen for the season.

I'm going to wait untill friday's coldfront to move in before I go out again.

went out with my cousin yesterday for a morning turkey day duck hunt. After setting up the decoys we had some assholes come set up 60 yards from us. I cussed them out and told them to leave but they just said not to worry because theyd be shooting the ducks before they got to us. We ended up with 3 drake wood ducks. We werent able to make alot of easy shots because the guys next to us were right behind our deks.The ducks liked our spread better (not even sure they had any decoys),and they were landing right out front.

A good day considering the mornings events.My cousin was able to shoot his first 2 ducks ever and I got the third. After going back home we plucked the ducks and threw them on the smoker to add to the thanksgiving day dinner. Good times and lots of good food after the hunt.

Another morning hunt today with my grandad and cousin. Not a whole lot flying but I managed another woodie drake. The grandad shot a few coots to fry up lol. Had the same people set right on top of us again but there werent many birds anyways. Might go out for the closer of phase 1 tomarrow. the season starts back up Dec. 11th.

Rockin! Way to show those southern boys!

Thanks heavy, the season starts back up again in the morning. I had plans to go out with my cousin but his old lady has him on a tight lease and I figured it would be best to hit it solo this weekend.

Got everyhting packed into my old fiberglass canoe(I've had it since I was 6). 13 decoys and a mojo should be enough to shoot a few woodies. I'll post pics of tomarows hunt when i return.

Went out with my buddy and his dad and his friend for an afternoon hunt. I scouted a wood duck roost a few weeks back and have been waiting for a good time to shoot it. We walked through waste high marsh grass for a few hundred yards and got setup and threw a few decoys and 2 mojos out. Mojos were flaring ducks early but we had a good shoot.

Got out for my first succesful sea duck hunt this morning with a new friend and my cousin. Not alot of birds flying but the ones that did fly worked the decoys good. Ended with with 3 hoodies and I got my first double today. A hen and drake hoodie in one shot. My cousin also gothis first hooded merganser today too.

Can't wait to go out again maybe wednesday.

Been hunting a new spot lately. About a week left in the season. We've been getting into lots of birds and something else other than woodies. We got a few blue wings a greenwing and a wooduck. Tons of birds on the new hunting spot though. just trying to figure things out now.
