this is my 2009 kansas rifle season kill taken the last weekend of the season. my friend and i had been walking our families 1000 acre ranch all day and finally stopped and sat down on an open, bald hill with a huge field of view. i had just pulled my Knight & Hale grunt call out and blown it a couple times when he started makin of it saying "it sounded cheap and unrealistic" literally less than 2 mins later i decided to turn around and look behind us for some reason and this bad boy was trotting right towards at about 50 yds!!! my friend turned around, shot and missed ( he dropped his rifle off a 15 ft cliff earlier that day...haha), and i was able to shoot him through the neck at about 150 yds with my savage .270 (he dropped instantly rolling end over end) but the best part of the story is that my friend took my rifle and went back to the edge of the hill in hope that the shooting may have spooked something out. 3 mins later he dropped a 120 class 7 point at about 200 yds. the time difference on our time of kill on our tags is 11 mins!!! unfortunately i dont have a pic of his to upload but these 2 are of my 160 class typical 8
