2009 Co Public Land : Update Mount Pics

It's been quite some time since my little brother took his first bull back in 2009. He finally got back his mount a few weeks ago and I must say the guy did quite a good job on it. He charged him a little over $1000 for it but his work shows.

A couple pictures, one of him back during gun season and one now on the wall. He said it was hard to find a spot for this monster on the wall so they had to put it in the staircase. This was a DIY hunt on public lands walking out his back door and up the mountain onto BLM land...

That is indead a nice bull

That is indead a nice bull and is a keeper in anyones books.  It is not really suprising on where he had to hang it.  I know of quite a few elk that are hanging the same way in the same spot in the home.

I moved back to florida after

I moved back to florida after hunting season of last year. I lived in colorado at the time and my brother used a guy in New Castle Colorado, not sure of his name but I do believe he's the only one in that town that does it.

The bull was taken in colorado on public lands with an otc tag. It was my brother first elk, he also took his first mule deer last season also.

Here's a pic of his buck from last year also.

Thanks for looking guys.

Very nice bull, congrats to your brother.

Yep, that taxidemy stuff gets expensive, and a bit much for me. I think if I get that lucky this year with my bull tag, I'll try to go for a skull type mount (european?) maybe? That or I'll just stick to keeping another hide, or antlers, LOL. I'd like to have a gun slip made though...

Thanks, nice pics.
