17hmr or 22mag for the eastern coyote??

hi im in brooklyn n.s. and im thinking of buying a new rimfire to carry along on my trapline
im planning on trappin some coyotes and foxes
last year i was carryin me 12ga. pump stoeger p350 with me with no.5 buckshot . i was seeing a lot of coyotes way out there on my trappline so i took my fathers old winchester 95 autoloader and put a 3-9x bushnell on it. but the coyotes were just to far for the 22lr

i was wanting to upgrade to a 17hmr. or a 22wmr. but i dont know if the 17hmr has enough weight to kill an eastern coyote. the 17hmr. has almost the same power and better ballistics but the 22mag has alot more weight

so wich do u guys think is best for the big eastern Think

22 mag for sure and nothing heavier than 4o grain bullet for the majority of 22 rifles.
What county are you in ? There are a few " BrookLyns" in Nova Scotia, the one in Pictou County being the nicest

Man, nothing worse than that. I hit a skunk last week and had to look under the car for it. It was so rank smelling I thought I was dragging it with me.

he just got washed down with some ketchup

hes only 4 and this is the first and hopfully the last time he meets one
at least it wasnt a porqupine
a few years ago there was one in my basement
it fell throught he window
just a baby lol!!

Scope Mouth Wash is about as good a product as you are going to find for skunk spray.

ya S.I.R mailorder use to sell skunk nutralizer in a spray bottle but they dont anymore
