the deer are still struggling, but....

There's still good stuff to be had.  You know where I'd suggest you go this year, then follow up next year in the same unit for elk.  Good luck in the draw, that one tag should be yours.

There is a few

Good units for Deer that I would hunt, but it does not take that many points!!!! Look at Early high country or 4 th season choices. Wish the Banking system was back! You could hunt a great unit 3 years in a row!!!

I am going to take my 15

I am going to take my 15 Colorado deer points and cash them in on a unit 44 fourth season tag.  I just got tired of getting points and then falling back on to the archery hunt as a second choice.

Now watch this will be the driest and warmest year on record this fall.  All the animals will still be high and in the timber.  At least that is the way that my luck usually falls.

Last year I cashed in 16 antelope points on a unit that is now closed for who knows how long.  At least I did get a shot at a antelope but didn't bag him.

Watch the weather and if not to your liking, turn in the tag and let them keep the money so you can keep your points!!!!!!!!

I won't turn the tag back in

I won't turn the tag back in just for the weather.  I know of a few honey holes that used to hold some real nice bucks and they should still hold them now.
