For a muzzle loader hunt you
For a muzzle loader hunt you could draw any tag that you want in the state with that many points except for unit 201. Now for a rifle hunt you may want to look into unit 2 for the 3rd rifle unit 10 for any of the hunts or unit 21 for 3rd rifle. You may even want to look at unit 61 for the 4th rifle and it may get you an idea for that unit if you want to put in for your elk hunt there. Likewise here you might want to check out this web site. http://www.westernhuntingdata.com/

I'm also in the same boat you
I'm also in the same boat you are with the preference points. 17 for antelope, 16 for deer, and 16 for elk and I'm a resident and 57 years old. But I am planning on starting to cash in the antelope in next year and then deer then the elk.
All the information that I gave you can be found on the Colorado's DOW web site but you need to do a little bit of digging to find it.

One more thing
To add to what Critter said, if you are into muzzy hunting, I would also check out unit 61. A sure draw for you with 15 points and the big bucks are a little easier to find and keep track of.
Good luck on your quest and keep us posted.

I sure apreciate the info on the unit...As anyone knows you cannot be in the know about everything...I am into muzzle but also into bow and rifle as well..just want to get feelers out for the deer..wanted to get into a zone and a hunt where you could look over many deer maybe deer that came out of high country because of snow or wahtever, just a good hunt.Is 61 during muzzle the kind of hunt where you have many deer using the area, and big guys at times..thanks JC

During that early hunt (September) you can look over quite a few deer. Once they shed the velvet they do get a little harder to find, but nothing like later in season when the bucks split up and dive into the thick nasty cover.
If you are a dedicated archery hunter that first week of archery season can be awesome for a big buck, but as we all know there is never a gaurantee during any season. You will see quite a few deer though.
