1,100 Saskatchewan Antlerless Mule Deer Licences Available
I got 2 for zone 20 (Regina-Moose Jaw WMZ) when they were still available but so far I've only seen 4, on the 2nd Nov. In zone 21, where I could pretty well be guaranteed to get them all the tags were drawn, as they are every year because they only have about 150 total mule deer tags (varying from year to year) for the whole area surrounding Last Mountain Lake. Last year I saw about a dozen mulies on the land I hunt in 20 after only seeing 1 in 11 years so they are moving in. I thought even if I don't get one it's just an extra $40 and if they pop up....... money well spent.
As the allure of hunting big whitetails becomes more and more a passion for many, we are finding that the recent (historically speaking) popularity of hunting deer from a tree stand is becoming the way to do it. I'll make no statement either for or against that technique here. This will be simply an essay on what I feel are some outstanding rifles for tree stand use.
Before we go even one more step, let's all remember that safety is first and foremost for anyone wanting to hunt...
