My daughters have a October elk hunt planned and dad gets to be guide. I'm excited and they are too. Time sure goes by slowly waiting for season to start, doesn't it? Hawk, I hope you are blessed with a great hunt and you kill a big muley buck. Good to have you back stateside.

I have the camera packed and will make sure I take plenty of pics.

Truthfully, I am pretty bad about remembering to take the camera. There are a lot of hunts that I WISH I had brought it. All I have are the memories in my feeble mind any more.

I'll be checkin' in once I return.

I'm waiting until Monday the 13th to start hunting. Let things quiet down a bit out here on the eastern front. Opening weekend of bow was nuts. The following week there was hardly anyone out. Gotta feeling it'll be kinda the same.

i was worried about that last year but we saw 2 "road hunters" the 1.5 days we hunted. neither of them saw anything in the 5 days they were scouting. we passed deer the first day,then we both killed the 2nd day as we jumped a herd of 5 nice bucks. hoping for the same luck this year. GOOD LUCK AND SAFE HUNTING TO ALL THIS SEASON!
