Nice buck. I love the bike cart,,, great idea. I reconstructed one of those kid trailers which works really well if riding down a closed dirt road, but yours looks like it would work well even on trails.

Nice buck! I will be taking my son hunting for whitetail in a couple of weeks.

What unit were you hunting? Have you talked to anyone else up there on how the hunt is going?

That's a pretty sweet setup you have there for carting your game out! Nice buck and congrats!

I was hunting by myself in unit 3. . The BOB trailer works great. 2 elk hindquarters fit in the trailer but push alittle to much on downhills. this trailer is made for off-road use. I have been an avid mtn biker for years. I bought my first mtn bike in 89 and since have broken many bike frames. The bike in the picture has had every piece broken on it one time on another. That is why the frame is 2 different colors. I don't use my good bike for hunting. The bike opens a new world to hunting. Especially if you don't have horses and yes you do have to push on some hills but oh well. It took me 40 minutes to pull the buck out 3 miles. Way quicker than walking and with my acl surgury in july pedalling is easier than walking.

I left the camp set up and am going back this weekend to find the bull, that i know is in there.

Hey tim, I do quite a bit of hunting in unit 3, the question I have is how do you deal with all of the hunters/recreational riders that are riding on those roads.
Most of the gated road and trails are open to riders through labor day weekend and then close to all motorized vehicles as you know. Myself, I get really upset after I have hiked or riden a mnt bike in two or more miles only to run into others who are not abiding by the rules. Whats worse is that there is nothing I can do about it. I have called forest service and f&g and they won't come out(not really their fault , too many law breakers and not enough officers). I have stopped riders and taken pic of their atv stickers, still nothing. Anybody have any ideas. This is something that myself and many others I know have been trying to figure out for a while, there seems to be no solution. "if you can't beet'em join'em" thing doesn't really work for me.

I looked at a new map of the cda natl forest, and alot of the atv trails north of i-90 at 4th of july pass are closed to atv's. I guess alot of people don't think the seasonal closures affect them.
