Hello All :
I am looking for some assistance with suggestions for where to buy fresh venison close to Boston.
There are places out towards the western part of the state, but I am hoping not to trek too far from Boston since my 1997 F150 is on its last legs.
I hope this question does not annoy people who actually go out and hunt for the meat the consume.

Welcome to the site Maven. I don't think the question would annoy too many people. Who knows, if you develop a taste for it, you may turn into one of us eventually.... 
I can't help you with that, but have you asked at any local meat markets? Even if they don't carry it, they may be able to refer you to someone who does. Try a specialty meat shop or something.
I just did a google search, and found a place in Boston/Cambridge. There webpage says they have elk, bear, venison, etc. Actually, it looks really good. The google post was made in 2008, and it talked about the tenderloin being $22 a pound. A little pricey, and not sure what the prices are now. Worth a look.

Damn, now that I look at it, they have kangaroo, python, alligator, frog legs, and on and on. I might have to drive to Boston..... 
BTW, just looked, it's in downtown Boston.
