North Carolina counties are affected by the growing coyote population, some a lot more than others, but most are affected by the wild animals. A proposal being discussed would allow night hunting for coyotes, in some counties year round.

Night hunting is being proposed to help control the population, which has gotten out of hand. Opposition has been voiced by those that are concerned, that people and endangered species, such as the red wolf, could be injured by allowing night hunting. Hunters may be experienced, but at night it is difficult to see and identify the correct animal.

The proposal would also allow the hunting of feral swine at night. Right now public comments are being accepted until April 16th with the final vote will take place on May 3rd. From WITN.com.
