Retired U.S. Army Spc. Rory Dunn, is a 2000 graduate from Liberty High School, Washington. In 2004, Dunn was severely injured by a roadside bomb- a traumatic brain injury, loss of vision and hearing, and other severe injuries. Doctors estimated his chance of survival at 2 percent.

Now with the help of Outdoor Channel's show "A Grateful Nation" hosted by a former Army Airborne Ranger, Tim Abell, Dunn gets to go hunting again. Dunn went to south Texas for a whitetail deer hunt. Dunn's episode will air the 24th at 4:30 pm on the Outdoor Channel. From IssaquahPress.com.

Wow that is a cool story.

Wow that is a cool story.  Very nice to see alot of people cominmg together to make hunts like this happen for all our vets that come make from war time.  I have a buddy that runs a website forum for wounded soilders and even puts some hunting and fishing trips together for them.  Great thing to be a part of.

That's a great story!  I do

That's a great story!  I do not get the Outdoors Channel, so I wasn't able to watch it, unfortunately.

Glad to see this veteran, after giving up so much for this country, get the chance to go hunting.  Thanks to the producers of "A Grateful Nation" for choosing him to go on this deer hunt!

Fantastic

I think it's fantastic that this fine young man gets to fulfill a dream. I only wish more veterans could get a chance like this. I have a niece that took junior ROTC at that same school and went to school with Rory.

I always enjoy tuning in to episodes like this. The more sportsmen who support these shows, the more they will happen. I'm looking forward to watching the show. Thanks to the organization that does this!

It's great to see stories

It's great to see stories like this one and I wish there were many more. We can't do enought to say thank to these men that have given so much of thier lives. Hopefully he has a great hunt and will be able to continue on for many more. A one time thing would be terrible as the joy of returning to the hunt would be short lived if more were not planned for the future. I'm not sure if I can get out of work early enough tomorrow to watch the show but I'm gonna try.

A thank you to Greatful Nation for making this possible.
